MINUTES FOR MEETING
June 19, 2012

PRESENT:
Holly Palmgren, Ron Thompson, Tom Lynch, David Getman, Judith Kalloch-Getman and John Vieira from the PCC were in attendance.
MEETING:
John Vieira called the meeting to order at 7:09 pm.
The minutes for the May 15, 2012 meeting were read and accepted with minor changes.
NEW BUSINESS:
- A continuation for a Request for Determination filed by Jim Camp for property located on Merriam Road (corner of East Princeton Road) for traditional agricultural uses. A site visit was conducted on May 14, 2012 with Holly Palmgren and John Vieira from PCC as well as Jim Camp. A second site visit was set for June 23, 2012 with Mr. Camp. The applicant requested to continue the meeting to the June 19, 2012 meeting.
- A Request for Determination filed by Lewis Reed, Wachusett Environmental for Wayne Norton for property located at 326 Mountain Road, Princeton for a replacement of existing septic system leaching field within 100’ of Isolated Land Subject to Flooding. Public Hearing was opened at 7:10 PM. A site visit was conducted on June 18, 2012 with Kale Kalloch-Getman, David Getman, and John Vieira from PCC. Lewis Reed attended the PCC meeting. The applicant requested to continue the meeting to the June 19, 2012 meeting. A second site visit was requested for July 9, 2012 and a letter from the Board of Health stating that the system is approved is need.
- A Request for a Certificate of Compliance was filed by Darleen Ojerholm for DEP File No. 267-204. A Certificate of Compliance was issued for 267-204 for Lot 33 Wilson Road. A site visit took place on June 18, 2012 with Kale Kalloch-Getman, David Getman, and John Vieira from PCC as well as the new owner.

OLD BUSINESS:
- Wachusett Mountain State Park, Administration Road Project – John Vieira did a site visit on June 6th in the rain storm, and the erosion controls were holding. DEP File No. 267-0347.
OTHER BUSINESS:
- Ken Whitney from Princeton Fire Department attended the meeting as a result of a courtesy letter from PCC. Discussed were potential sites that the Fire Department wanted to improve:
- Esty Road – brush cut to access road and would like to replace the hydrant in about a 1 acre pond, and correct spill way to prevent erosion.
- Merriam Road and East Princeton Road - enlarge the pond to meet the insurance requirements for a fire pond.
- Hickory Drive – remove mud, silt and vegetation from the pond and repair or replace the hydrant that doesn’t work, approximately 150 yards of material to be removed.
- Hall’s Pond at the bottom of Gregory Hill – Install a hydrant but to do that the pond needs to be deeper, approximately 100 yards of material to be removed.
- Gates Road – Mason property has a small pond that is overgrown, clear and put in a hydrant.
- Thompson Road – Simpson’s farm pond, enlarge the agriculture pond to use as a fire pond.
- Onion Patch (Route 140) – install a hydrant.
- Paradise Pond
Ken Whitney will write up a list and give to the PCC.
- Lisa Rhodes from DEP inspected the files looking for site with Wetland Replications.
- The Laptop Computer was purchased this week.
- Thomas Lynch submitted a travel invoice for the Wachusett Mtn. Project.
